At the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, we are committed to fostering a love for nature and environmental stewardship. Our Tree Talks and Walks have been designed to bring people together, educate, and inspire a deeper connection with the land and trees in Vancouver. However, we’ve noticed a trend that has impacted the experience for everyone involved.

The Challenge

In the past, we’ve encountered challenges with registrations, where many individuals would sign up but fail to attend, leading to missed opportunities for others who were eager to participate. To ensure fairness and maximize the opportunity for genuine enthusiasts to join us, we’re implementing a new registration process.

Introducing a Registration Fee

Starting this year, there will be a nominal fee of $5 to reserve your spot for our Tree Talks and Walks. This fee helps us cover administrative costs and ensures that those who register are committed to attending. We understand that some may have difficulty paying online, so we offer alternative methods of payment via email or in-person arrangements.

Tickets & Registration Date

To streamline the registration process and accommodate as many participants as possible, we are limiting registrations to two tickets per person. We will utilize Tickit for all registrations. Additionally, we will set a specific registration date and time for everyone’s convenience, which will be announced beforehand.

Attendance

Please arrive at the meeting point (location disclosed upon successful registration) 15 minutes before the scheduled time for check-in and to meet your Tree Talk & Walks leader. We will have staff onsite to help with check-in and to ensure successful payment.

We believe these measures will enhance the overall experience for our community and ensure that our Tree Talks and Walks continue to be engaging and accessible to all who share our passion for nature.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we strive to create meaningful experiences in our shared environment.

Sincerely,
The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Team
