Alfred specializes in culturally and environmentally sensitive projects and has extensive experience with First Nations, cultural societies, and educational institutions. He is Status Indian and part of Treaty 8. His firm is dedicated to developing solutions that reflect the culture, community, and geographic regions specific to each project. The designs are a direct response to site context, topography, climate, and regional materials. And as part of a sustainable design philosophy, Alfred aims to maximize comfort, longevity, functionality, and energy efficiency.
Trade Commissioner of Mining, Oil and Gas and Indigenous business for B.C. and Yukon
Alex Morison is the Trade Commissioner of Mining, Oil and Gas for British Columbia and Yukon. Along with his work in international trade and international business development, he has spent his career working with Indigenous communities in the mining sector. With his consulting company, Northern Lighthouse Consulting, he has worked with Indigenous communities across Canada in engagement and consultation processes, health and community wellness, health impact assessments, post-secondary education curricula, and economic development initiatives. Morison also has more than a decade of experience putting on events and festivals. He is a central part of the artistic and musician community in Vancouver and has performed in over 15 countries. He is also a composer, producer and audio engineer working in studios across Canada and Europe.
