Since 2007, the Saint James Music Academy (SJMA) has been providing high quality orchestral and choir based music education to children and youth living in and around Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside in a safe after-school setting. At no cost to families who would not otherwise be able to afford music lessons for their children, young people are strengthened in spirit through the joys and challenges of learning music together, and of playing an important part in something beautiful that is larger than themselves. SJMA is made possible through the generosity of those who share our belief that music can change lives. To support our program, please visit sjma.ca or call 778.874.0552
