Get ready for an exciting pop-up Taiko drumming performance featuring Chibi Taiko in Yaletown this Good Friday! On Friday, April 7 from 3:00-4:30 PM, head over to Bill Curtis Square located behind Yaletown-Roundhouse Stn. to witness this unique performance. This event is free and open to everyone!

The talented performers include Jordy Riley, Becky Jung, Kento Konno, Cassandra Horn, and Shinobu Homma. Chibi Taiko is the first Youth Taiko ensemble in Canada and was founded in the fall of 1993. Their aim is to pass on the traditional Japanese Taiko drumming art form to the next generation of Japanese and Asian Canadians.

Over the years, Chibi Taiko has performed at numerous cultural events such as the Powell Street Festival, the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, the Vancouver International Folk Music Festival, the Vancouver Children’s Festival, Whistler First Night Festival, and others. They will be celebrating their 30th anniversary this fall 🎉.
