Tree Talks & Walks with Nina Shoroplova

📍 Location: Meet at the grove of ‘Akebono’ ornamental cherry trees on Chilco at Alberni near the Georgia Street entrance to Stanley Park
As the author of Legacy of Trees: Purposeful Wandering in Vancouver’s Stanley Park, Nina Shoroplova will lead a walk from one grove of ornamental cherries in bloom to another. She will also point out some of the beautiful and unusual ornamental trees and plants around Lost Lagoon and in Stanley Park’s Shakespeare Garden. She will mention some of the history of the park and explain how the Park Board balances the demands of the public with the need for open green space and works with the Stanley Park Ecology Society.
