📍 Location: Meet outside Fraser Parkade by the Asian Centre, just east of the Nitobe Memorial Garden at 6440 Memorial Rd.
Join Douglas Justice, Associate Director and Curator of Collections at UBC Botanical Garden & Centre for Plant Research, for a leisurely stroll through UBC’s beautiful cherry blossoms. During the walk, you’ll have the opportunity to see UBC’s iconic ‘Somei-yoshino’ cherry trees and other varieties of flowering cherries along Lower Mall and the surrounding area. Douglas will also share insights into the history and culture of cherry blossoms, making this an educational and enjoyable experience for all.
