
Overview
Sakura Days Japan Fair celebrates all things Japan, from Japanese food, performances, to arts and culture. Most activities will take place out of doors, with selected vendors, tea ceremony, and experiences to take place indoors. Look forward to taiko drumming, theatre performances, woodworking demonstrations, and a renewed Japanese Garden display, just to name a few!

- Children’s Stamp Rally (FREE): Visitors to the festival will have the chance to join the stamp rally. Five activity stations will be placed around the festival grounds, each with a game or activity to complete. Receive a stamp on your stamp rally card after completing an activity, repeat for all five stations, then show your full stamp card at the information booth to win a prize. There is a special prize for the first ten visitors to complete the stamp rally each day, then a secondary prize for the next 250!
- Tea Ceremony Demonstrations at the Japanese Garden (FREE)

Immerse yourself in Japanese culture, food and art – participate in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, try some Japanese festival food, sample premium sake, learn new Japanese games, and enjoy cultural performances. Discover a wide variety of vendors and exhibitors featuring local Japanese food, craft, and businesses.

This year the Festival will celebrate the 2021 Winning Haiku with a Haiku Installation as part of SAKURA DAYS JAPAN FAIR with our Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh nations. The intent of this installation is to connect the poems to the cherry tree and provide a unique way to experience and honour these winning haiku while featuring the work of three First Nations artists.
