Linda Poole, Festival Founder and Artistic Director of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, shares her passion for the cherry blossom – inspiring others on the culture and traditions of Sakura, her favourite cultivars, the Festival’s history and programming, and other fun facts. With a small group, you will glide through the heart of Vancouver’s False Creek in an electric boat for a fun adventure, discovering the cherry trees blooming along the shoreline. Expect the unexpected!

Meet Linda Poole

Linda Poole is the Founder and Creative Director of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival. Seventeen years ago she brought a new idea from Japan to our city and has grown it to be the beloved intra-community arts and culture celebration that it is today. She is a passionate community-builder and combined with her love of sharing the beauty of the cherry blossom with everyone is unfailing. The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival is and will remain a labour of love for her always.
