Here are some special events to introduce you to our cherries and to fellow cherry scouts. Come learn how being a Cherry Scout can enrich your life while you contribute to our cherry records and let the folks know what's blooming in your neighbourhood. Cherry Scout Orientation and Meet-upJoin us for an exciting orientation session to meet your fellow scouts and learn everything you need to know about being a Cherry Scout! Seasoned scouts, come join us so we can get to see you all. Date: Saturday, March 17, 2012, 2pm to 4pm Your name Blossom Biology Douglas Justice, of UBC Botanical Garden, will present a hands-on workshop covering basic botanical terms, techniques for identifying different cherry species and cultivars, along with the history, culture and horticultural background of the Japanese flowering cherry tree.
